Unguided, independant, and freedom walks of the Queen Charlotte Track walk can include all water taxis and bag transfers, lunches and a Queen Charlotte Track map. You only need to carry a small day pack each day. Meals are available at all the lodges and a trackers lunch each day can be included. Accommodation can be found in Picton within 2 minutes walk of the Water Taxi departure office, and they will happily store your excess luggage while you are hiking the Queen Charlotte Track if you are staying with them before and after your walk. Lunches for your first days track walk can be ordered the day before from "Gustos" on High Street ready for you to pick up at 7.30am the next day.

STEP 1. BOOK YOUR ACCOMMODATION DIRECT WITH THE LODGES. STEP 2. BOOK A "GREAT TRACK AND PACK PASS" WITH BEACHCOMBER WATER TAXIS, (includes track map and luggage transfers). ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT.
You will be dropped at Ship Cove or Resolution Bay to begin your walk while your luggage is forwarded to the "NO ROAD INN", and on to your next accommodation each day. A 1.5 Hr walk on Motuara Island Bird Sanctuary can be included for an extra $5, requires an earlier 8 am departure from Picton. At the end of your walk you will be met by the water taxi and be transfered back to Picton.
4 Day, 3 night Walk. Option 1 Rated Easy. Day 1. Ship Cove to the No Road Inn, Endeavour Inlet,5hrs. Day 2 . The No Road Inn to Camp Bay, 4hrs, Accommdation at Mahana Lodge. Day 3. Water taxi to Torea Bay, walk to Lochmara Lodge, 3hrs. Day 4. Walk to Anakiwa 5hrs. Water taxi to Picton.
4 Day, 3 night Walk. Option 2 Rated Medium. (The original "Standard Track Walk", with quality accommodation.) Day 1. Ship Cove to the No Road Inn, 5hrs. Day 2. The No Road Inn to Mahana Lodge, 4hrs.
